Taking over Selfridges Wonder Room ’til April 29, the pop-up exhibition-cum-luxury-boutique is a journey into Cartier’s illustrious heritage. In three parts, the installation will showcase the brand’s spotlight moments – famous wearers (expect everyone from Grace Kelly to Barbara Hutton) and, of course, the long-standing royal connection which saw Kate Middleton wearing the Queen’s Cartier tiara when she became the Duchess of Cambridge – as well as showing some of their finest contemporary high-end creations. Then there’s the bridal lounge where you’ll be able to try some of their stunning engagement rings on for size as well as find out all about the uniqueness and quality of the brand’s diamonds. Plus, there’s an interactive section where you can try some of Cartier’s most über-luxe creations via a virtual tool (pretending you’re Liz Taylor the whole time, natch).
So grab your entourage and swan down to the Selfridges flagship store at 400 Oxford St to catch Cartier Loves Diamonds before April 29: but be careful, it’s a taste of a life to which you may become accustomed…
